Well its all was all about the girls this month!! Both my Sister and Sister-in-law gave birth to two beautifully healthy baby girls in the month of January.  These are the cards that I made to celebrate that with them.

When my sister found out she was having a girl I was very excited it would be pink, purple, fairies and butterflies... Well, here is my take on all that.

The cards needed to be similar, but not the same... Since the girls were born only two weeks apart.

And now that we have the Baby Prints stamps no card will be complete without little feeties!! LOVE these!

Have a great day getting Crafty!!

Supplies used in these two projects:
Stamp Sets: Baby Prints and Tiny Tags.

Now here is the 1st of my get well cards.  I heard from an OWH card maker that a 9 year old with myelodyspalsia, he is trying to see how many get well cards he can get.  So I thought why not help him out and give him something to make him happy!! He loves the Food Network and his favorite color is yellow; he opens yellow envies last.  His address is

Jan '12

Happy Tuesday everyone!! Here is just one thing I have been working on in the craft room this week.  Don't you just love the new heart Framelits?? This wreath started out with just Real Red and Regal Rose. The top heart was cut using the largest die the scallop heart and then run through the crimper.  The bottom heart was using the second heart like the surrounding, but Red Riding Hood Pleated Satin Ribbon adorns it.  The hanger is Real Red Grosgrain ribbon and I had to add something to that.... Cherry Cobbler seam binding in a double bow with Twill Tape which was stamped in Real Red with 'love' from the Tiny Tags set, but the last touch was the 'scrap' of Victoria Crochet Trim.

The new Fashionable Hearts Embosslits completes the tie.

The adding of several textures and patterns adds to the interest of this wreath. The following DSP was used in this project, Twitterpated, Flirtatious Specialty, Hostess-Cheerful Treat, Red glitter paper and retired (but needed!) Holly Berry Bouquet.  I needed the polka dots!! Other ribbons, then above, used in this wreath, Melon Mambo Scallop Dots, Whisper White 3/8 Taffeta Ribbon, Crumb Cake Seam Binding, retired Whisper White- Early Espresso- Real Red 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon along with several pieces of Hemp Twine. Buttons from the Designer Buttons in Sublets and Twitterpated.
You can add to the laundry list of supplies: Small Heart punch, Beautiful Wings Embosslits (of course it MUST have butterflies), Floral Fusion Sizzlits,  glimmer brads, rhinestones AND the new large Pearls.

Phew, that sure is a lot of stuff... Here is the thing, when I began it was simple the photo on the lower left.  I called my sister the painter (new mommy too)  and asked her what it needed... she said contrast.  I was stumped by this because I did not know where to begin.  There was paper in my scrap bin that I kept picking up.  It was the stripped paper from Cheerful Treat, Love that cheery paper!! I tried a couple pieces and there it was.  We all need guidance on projects, I would love to help you when you get stumped next time!!

A very special Thank you to my Sister, Mindy for her inspiration in this project!!

Have a great day getting Crafty!!

Here is the first of my Valentine's Cards.  I have tried to keep in mind that I would be giving this card to my husband.  I will be sharing a few that I will send to some others, but... Hubby is on my mind today.  Like the background?? Thanks sweetie!!

The first time using the new scented embossing powder, YUMMY!! I was pleasantly surprised how strong it was when I opened the container.  If you love cherry (also available in melon and vanilla), you are solid!  Also used my heart framelits for the first time today (I will say again how DANGEROUS this Occasions Mini is, YIKES!!!).  Using two different sizes because the falling hearts from Sprinkled Expressions (FREE with $50 purchase from Sale-A-Bration) is on the inside of the card.  Just for Megan, Cherry Cobbler embossing powder instead of ink.  Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Red Glitter paper, seam binding ribbon in Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler just in a knot.  Hemp twine is how I added the Tiny Tags along with the tag punch.

The candy treats 'pouch' is Twitterpated paper cut using the Top Note Big Shot die.  The decorative label was sponged and stamped with 'big hug' in Cherry Cobbler ink,  from Prefect Words (Hostess set).  Inside the pouch is a bag of Kisses.  Cute little way to give some sweets to your sweetie, right??
