Paper Pumpkin ... Feb '14

ONLY TWO DAYS LEFT TO GET YOUR
FREE MARKERS!!

Today's post is using Feb '14 Paper Pumpkin.
The gift bags!! I LOVE them, they are better then ANY store bought bag!!

**WARNING.... WARNING** I made this one my own right from the get go.

The seam binding ribbon is not thick enough to just knot at each end so... making the ribbon a little longer and tying them together you are able to use any ribbon you want.

You can even stamp on the bags..the Flowering Flourishes worked perfectly.  Adding my favorite punch, petite petal and a candy dot you get a great flower.  The pearls added just a little more pretty.

Sneaky right??
The lace ribbon and flower are from the Artisan Embellishment Kit that is available on the Clearance Rack.
The gold baker's twine goes beautifully with the gold glimmer paper used on the back of the "welcome" circle.  The clothes pin comes with the Paper Pumpkin kit, but I could have used gold ones here too (in the occasions catalog).

This bag is special for me because I have a new niece due any minute... Remember my little butterfly girl?? She is getting a sister..

Seeing as the card was made prior to receiving this Paper Pumpkin I used the same colors and a few of the same elements to match.  SSssshhhh, don't tell Mindy!!

Okay enough teasing here is how it turned out...

Just beautiful!! Perfect for that new little girl!!

Well, I hope you are enjoying your weekend and have a Great day getting Crafty!!

Sale-a-Bration

Spend $50 and get your pick from Stamps, Paper, Accessory Pack and Yes, even a Punch and an Embossing folder.

Here is just one of my ideas....

Now the Bicycle is from the Yearly catalog, the set is called Cycle Celebration.

How cute but, I think, the little flowers add a ton.
I used "extra" areas from the accessory pack of cork flowers.
Then added candy dots to the cork flowers.

I did this card for a card swap and used different colored candy dots.  The hearts on the sides are from the owl punch.

Using markers, I used two different colors on the oval portion. Also, to keep the washed out look I stamped off the stripes.

What is stamping off??  Stamping off is when you ink up your stamp and stamp on a scrap paper, then huff on your stamp and stamp for your project.  You end up with a lighter color, and a different look to your project.  I would love to hear how this works for you!! email me your pictures!!

Here  are the three colored twines from the accessory pack.  My favorite part is the tag stamp and punch set.  The stamp set has 10 stamps, pictured are only two.

Some of my color inspiration comes from eggs, YES eggs, from my chickens.  There are 11 chickens that reside on the Homestead, 2 Roosters and 9 Laying hens.  So count 8 eggs, yup only one hen did not lay on this day... how sad, but I know based on the colors who did not lay this day.

Here she is, Lucy, the hold out... she did lay an egg for me the next day though.

Well, that is all for our Sale-a-bration look today...
REMEMBER only one week left to order.

March '14

Here is the last of the winter Birthday cards.

This one is for my niece, She will be my tractor girl!!

See, because I am not a girly girl, I thought purple would be the perfect color.

Curling up the edges of the flowers adds dimension.

Add a beautiful bow, yes you had to untie it to open the card.
The inside is only stamped on the one side, this is not a normal A2 card size either.

Add a few pearls, three different sizes, for just a bit more beauty.

Here she is trying on her butterfly wings!!

And I am told she wears them often!!
She takes after her Auntie for sure!!
Purple butterflies, WoooHooo!

A special Thank you to my Sister, Mindy for sending me all the birthday present photos.  AND for letting me post these cute pictures!! Love you Sissy!!

Happy St Patrick's Day!!

Welcome to part 2 of St Patrick's day cards...

As stated yesterday I found the "punch art" part of this card, on Pinterest, but I changed a couple things...

The leprechaun is so dang cute.  What do you think about our Rainbow??

The Sale-a-Bration twine is the perfect colors for a Rainbow..

Note, the knots are purposely staggered for visual interest.

And as all Rainbows do, we are lead to the pot of gold!!

I love the Deco Label for pots or cauldrons.... PERFECT!!

The clover on his hat and the use of DSP from the This and That set worked perfect for his "hair".

I hope you enjoyed our St Patrick's Day Weekend Feature....
