Occasions Catalog or Spring Catalog

no matter what you call it, I call it DANGEROUS!!

There is a ton of new fun stuff in this catalog!!

I was able to give my customers a sneak peak of one of my favorites..

I LOVE the new Natural trim ribbon!!

Add some coloring and ink distressing, a few more of my
 favorite things.

And the picture comes together...

See you can take a stamp set and truly change the look and feel by the
color and embellishments you add to it.

I finally was able to go to a Stampin' Up! event and I knew I wanted a good swap.

What do you think?? Want to see the inspiration for these little cutties??

Trevor came home and needed a "box" for a gift.  Here is what we came up with.

It measures 6 X 6 inches and it glowed in the dark... with the battery operated candles inside!! Sorry no picture of that.

He wanted layers on the sides

and a trap door...

the button is for easy removal of the "bottom"

an extra scrap piece of matching cardstock not completely taped in helps to hold up the above piece

So back to my swaps....  I loved how Trevor's box turned out.  I wanted to do a 3D swap for our Regional meeting in Lansing. The colors used were compos of Pretty in Pink with Raspberry Ripple, Always Artichoke and Summer Starfruit, Certainly Celery with Gumball Green and Pool Party with Midnight Muse.

This little box fits a small hand sanitizer or even a small lip gloss. I took the concept of the bigger box and modified for size, still wanting a background, flower and the soaring bird.  I changed the saying because I wanted to  Inspire someone else to try the box!

Layering the small scallop circle with two different colors added some dimension as well as some lightness to the flower.

HINT: Put a some body spray in your water bottle for an added WOW!!

For the ribbon I just tied knots on the inside with plenty of room for treasures still on the inside.

Lastly, for ease of closing and opening I trimmed the edges of the insert.

So because there are two projects here, if you wanted written instructions for either of these projects please email me.  I will include punch sized and all the colors that were used.

Thanks, I do HOPE you enjoyed today's post.

Hello!!
This one took a few friends to a level of panic.

The "lollipop" has 10 different round patterned circles glued to a circle backer.
Love the glimmer brad center!!

The stick is a wooden skewer cut to size.

This card naturally has dimension due to the stick.

Glue Dots hold the round to the stick and the ribbon in the right spot.

Operation Write Home .. Sketches Blog Hop..

Here are the two cards that I came up with for our hop...

I used sketch 27 for my new Hero card....

As if anyone really needs a reason, but here is mine...

I wanted to let Operation Write Home and Kris know that Trevor is back in the states, after 7 long months of being in Afghanistan, as of  Thursday and will be home here for a visit on Sunday night....

I also wanted to thank a friend of mine Tammy (she knows who she is) for helping me find OWH.  I have enjoyed making cards for the heroes and they sure know how much we love them.  The support we give them is welcomed and appreciated.

I knew when I saw this sketch that I was going to use this big retiring ribbon.  I will miss it.
And be nice I hand stamped each letter.... :-)

This my very 1st time in a blog hop... I hope everything turned out alright.
And that everyone gets inspired.
I do have blog candy.... you will have to check out the Friday night post to see what it is... but its a good one.   Ohh this is how you get the blog candy, you must post a comment and I would appreciate a few new followers too...

So the other thing on everyone's mind is graduation, right??
Well I thought so too... I love this stamp set for that...

I got the idea from sketch number 114.
Yes, it was changed just a little.

The footprints are the steps we have take to get where we are and where we want to go..

Enjoy your Daring Adventure and the rest of the Hop!!

Thank you for stopping by!!

Pre blog hop post... Blog Candy.

I am super excited to be participating in my very 1st Blog Hop!! And I knew that I could not do this without giving some blog candy away.....

As an OWHer for a few years now, we know that the above is not true.
We make cards for soldiers that we have NEVER met,
We make cards for the family that we do not expect to hear from
But we know that with each loving thought and care we take in our cards that

A family is Happier and a Soldier is thought of Lovingly.

Here is a general card ...

Do you see New items here??, YES!!.

Love the new additional framelits that Stampin Up! has added to the new catalog!! (HINT)

The addition of different ribbons here adds new texture and a more whimsical look, well at least I think.

and a POP of color....

Okay, You have been patient enough, Here is the blog candy.

2 each of the retiring In Colors(right to left), the current In Colors and the new In Colors.  That is 30 sheets of Stampin UP! cardstock  and  as a Bonus you will get a new catalog!!
The winner will be picked on June 1st.
